Nothing like a good ould Ghost story in a Dublin graveyard.
Staring your tour on the upper deck of the the Ghost Bus, known as Molly, your guide will settle you in for a night of discomfort & darkness .
After a few spooky stories at the Royal College of Physicians on Kildare Street & some hair raisers at Saint Stephens Green, the first stop on The Ghost Bus Tour of Dublin is at an unassuming little graveyard on Camden Row, where you will learn about the art of body-snatching & aparitions in Church ruins.
A good tour always requires a live volunteer.
Here you will learn how to body snatch while leaving the corpse intact.
It's all about technique, but just dont try this at home !!!!!- graveyards are much better...
The Ghost Bus is suitably decorated inside & out.
Dark colours are the trend naturally, the curtains remain closed throughtout the trip, haunting music sets the tone & ocassionaly the lights GO OUT !!!!!
James the guide will freak you throughout the journey by the chilling stories of Dublin's dark past. He will walk up & down the aisle & test your fear factor, its interactive.........
Meanwhile in the background, haunting music plays, not just on the bus, but also on your mind..............
Welcome aboard the Ghost Bus.
The tone for the evening is set as soon as you board the Ghost Bus, its sinister accessories & dark atmosphere is not for the squimish.
You will enjoy the tour from the upper deck throughout the trip.
Continuing your search, now thats its dark !!!, we arrive at St Audeons Church, which dates from medieval times & is Dublins oldest parish church. Going through the arch, which is the last surviving gate to Dublin City, again some serious story telling which will leave you thinking.......you will be given a few minutes to wander around & soak up the atmosphere, but just dont go alone, or speak with strangers.......
Its now 10 pm & the tour is nearly over, before you board the bus & head back to O' Connell Street.
Is it a ghost ???? - no, its just a Ghost Bus driver !!!
Well done to the Guide for the evening, James & driver Francis for a great night out.
